Each spring, one piece of artwork is selected from each school that will be included in the prestigious Superintendents’ Choice Art Gallery. The current gallery will be displayed for one year on the various Public Schools of Robeson County’s virtual platforms.
The Selection Process:
There is a jury process for selecting the artworks that will be part of the gallery. Each school submits up to ten pieces of 2-dimensional work for selection. These pieces are all examples of excellence in their own right, but only one piece is selected to represent the school.
Artwork will be judged using the following criteria: uniqueness/originality, professional quality (neatness and craft), aesthetic quality (design, composition, color/tones), and selection and application of materials.
