ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT/ MULTILINGUAL LEARNER PROGRAM

The Public Schools of Robeson County English As a Second Language (ESL) Program's main goal is to increase English Language Learner's (ELLs) acquisition of academic English. We offer a program that meets federal and state guidelines. We serve students by providing direct ESL instruction and consultative services. We monitor the progress of students who have exited the LEP program for two (2) years.

We are committed to offer support services to help families as they transition to the PSRC and provide opportunities for ESL students to share their culture with their schools and the community at large.

Our ESL population is very diverse representing over 50 languages and dialects.
