PSRC ELD/ML FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FOCUS

Engaging activities

The focus of our ELD/ML Family & Community Engagement Sessions is to redefine our family and community engagement practices towards an authentic ML parent/student led learning experience. Some of the engagement activities include bilingual read-alouds (English-Spanish) where language negotiation and a natural linguistic interaction takes place. Our ML department has also provided STEAM activities where ML parents and students experience and acquire the language of science with a hands-on approach. Additionally, our parents participate in TPR (Total Physical Response) sessions to activate their senses.
