THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT PEMBROKE
Founded in 1887, The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is a member institution of the University of North Carolina System. The university provides a broad liberal arts curriculum to a 10-county region.
In addition to academics, the university offers students a variety of extracurricular activities ranging from entertainment to athletics. The Givens Performing Arts Center is the scene of programs by nationally known artists. UNCP is a member of the Peach Belt Athletic Conference. There is also a strong intramural sports program on campus.

When Robeson Community College began operating in 1965, it served only 20 students. The college has expanded since then, now offering 21 curriculum programs, along with a variety of continuing education programs.
RCC also partners with PSRC to help students earn college credits while in high school through the Career and College Promise Program. PSRC Early College at RCC students can graduate with an associate degree or college credits and a high school diploma.
