RALEIGH – Lumberton FFA members Isaac Simmons and Chase Lowry earned top placements at the State Tractor and Truck Driving Career Development Events (CDE) held recently at the Southern Farm Show in Raleigh.
Isaac Simmons placed first in the state in the Truck Driving CDE, demonstrating outstanding precision and safety in navigating the designated course. Chase Lowry competed in the Tractor Driving CDE, earning tenth place in the state and first in the South Central Region.
These competitions emphasize the safe and effective operation of agricultural equipment, and both students showcased their skills at the highest level.
The Lumberton FFA Chapter congratulated them on their achievements.
“I couldn’t be prouder of these young men for representing our chapter and the Lumber River Federation with such dedication,” said Candace Grimsley, a Lumberton FFA adviser. “Their hard work and determination have truly paid off.”
PSRC Superintendent Dr. Freddie Williamson also congratulated the students for their placement in top spots among their peers in the state.
“Career Development Events are an opportunity to showcase the skills and knowledge gained through education. Congratulations, Isaac and Chase, on demonstrating your expertise and hard work. Your success is an inspiration to others, and I hope you continue to achieve great things in the future,” Dr. Williamson said.
