GREENSBORO — PSRC students earned top awards during the recent National Beta Club State Conventions at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.
Students from various schools within the district competed with other students across North Carolina for top awards in various categories. The events included team competitions and individual showcases.
All students who placed at the state convention events have the opportunity to compete at the National Beta Competition in June in Orlando, Florida.
“We are so proud of our students,” said PSRC Superintendent Dr. Freddie Williamson.
“For many of our students, these events allow them to travel to new places, demonstrate their talents and sharpen their skills in various areas including public speaking. I am thankful for the support and coordination of our Beta Club sponsors, parents and everyone working to provide these events for our students. Each year I am amazed at the tremendous work and dedication our students display. Congratulations to all of our winners and participants,” he added.
