CTAP: CHILDREN'S THEATRE ARTS PROGRAM

The Children's Theatre Arts Program's (CTAP) mission is to educate grades 2–7 students in the Public Schools of Robeson County's schools* about theatre by participation in a variety of dramatic musical comedy productions. Having a regular creative outlet through CTAP is not just part of a well-rounded education — it is essential for a child’s emotional health and well-being.

Participation in a CTAP show brings the arts together and provides growth opportunities for all varieties of learners.

CTAP participants not only learn about theatre, but also reinforce their literacy and speaking skills while building relationships with other students throughout the PSRC school district.

*Students who are homeschooled or in charter, parochial, and private schools are not eligible to participate.

Auditions for Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Jr.

The Public Schools of Robeson County Children’s Theatre Arts Program (CTAP) is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Jr. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and talent on stage.

Audition Details:

Dates: Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, or Thursday, January 16th, 2025
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Please arrive promptly by 5:45 PM)
Location: Lumberton Junior High School Auditorium
- 82 Marion Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358
Eligibility: Open to PSRC students currently enrolled in grades 2-7
Performance Dates: March 20-22, 2025

What to Prepare:

Students should prepare a short song to sing for the vocal portion of the audition.
Come dressed to move and participate in the dance portion.
Be ready to read aloud for the acting portion.
