Eureka Math Squared (EM2)
The Public Schools of Robeson County adopted Eureka Math Squared at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year as our new math curriculum for grades 6 and 7 and with the upcoming 2024 - 2025 school year will begin using Eureka Math Squared Curriculum for Math I curriculum in 8th grade.
EM2 supports student learning by incorporating within lessons: an effective delivery; prioritizes student engagement; promotes student-to-student discussion; fosters students’ ownership of and sense of belonging in the mathematics community; and helps students make connections within mathematics and across disciplines.
Below you will see the elements of this curriculum.
"The Learn book provides students with problem sets and formative assessments (Exit Tickets and Topic Tickets).
Digital lessons and interactives fuel student discourse.
Math context videos provide students with low-floor/high-ceiling learning opportunities as they explore real-world math.
Family Math and Practice Partners provide caregivers with guidance on how to best support their mathematicians at home.
Open-middle and open-ended tasks empower students to find their own solution pathways.
Hands-on math manipulatives provide students with kinesthetic learning opportunities."
