Upcoming Public Events:

On Saturday, November 9th, at Noon, 1330, and 1500, the planetarium program will honor our veterans for Armistice Day (AKA Veteran's day), showing the program Back to the Moon for Good, narrated by Tim Allen. Admission is free. Each Veteran or active duty service member in attendance will receive a lithograph, suitable for framing, of the first woman to go to the Moon, Christina Koch.

To make reservations, leave an email with the following information: your name, and the number in your party (adults and children). The programs are free, but reservations are required.

*Please note that attendance is capped at 25 people per program.

Fine-tuning visits to the planetarium: insider hints for teachers-Have students down student questions on 3x5 cards, or something like that in dark ink, legibly. This way, I can answer student questions anonymously for those who are shy. I've done the research: there are 5x more unique interactions (more students asking questions), and deeper level questioning is 11x greater in those groups that have pre-written questions, vs. those who don't.

Also, there is greater diversity in the questioners-more females ask questions than those groups who haven't pre-written questions.
