Hello Early College Family.
We are pleased to see the vans transporting our students in the mornings again. This should prevent the loss of instructional time. Remember that progress reports are going home this week, make sure to ask your student to show you theirs. The end of this 9 weeks will be October 8th. Remember as well that we have a ½ day for students on Wednesday. The other ½ part of the day the students should be involved in some sort of project-based learning. College side students with afternoon classes will need to have their own transportation home.
Our virtual PTA will be held on September 20th, students will be given the link to log into the meeting later this week by their teachers. Our teachers are beginning their tutoring after school. If your student is having any issues in class they should certainly sign up.
I do not have access to the college side grades. Please have your student log into their RCC account and show you their grades. Help us with that. Students who don’t maintain a certain GPA may have their enrollment here jeopardized.
Keep the following dates in mind:
September 21st--Jostens Cap and Gown Ordering Information meeting at 1:00 in the Student Center. Class ring ordering informational meeting begins at 2:00.
Our next Driver's Education Class begins October 18th and will end on November 2nd. If your birthday is on or after April 18, 2007 you may sign up. The cost of the class is $65.00 (a fee waiver is available upon request).
Free College Application Week is October 18th - 22nd
November 5th Advanced Senior Portraits
RCC Graduation Applications are available in the RCC Registrar's Office
NC School of Science and Math Virtual Information Meeting for 10th graders is September 21st at 1:30. Please check your PSRC emails for the meeting link.
Thank you,
Dr. Clark

Hello Early College Family.
Please remember our Title 1 virtual meeting is tonight at 6:00 pm. The meeting should only last about 30 minutes or so. The link has been shared with your student.
Please remember that the only students that may attend virtually are students who have gone through the application process at the board and the students who are having to quarantine. Students must make every effort to attend school. If your student is out for any other reason than the ones mentioned above, they will be counted absent.
We realize there is often a delay in diagnosis of close contact which necessitates quarantining and when the student’s name actually appears on our quarantine list. Our teachers know this and attendance will be corrected when and if needed.
Remember that September 6th is a holiday. September the 15th is a ½ day for students in person and ½ day virtual. September 20th will be our first PTA beginning at 6:30 pm. The advisory council will meet virtually at 6:00 pm. The PTA link will be shared with your student. The advisory council link will be shared with the members soon. Look for progress reports during the week of September 13th.
Free tutoring (virtually or in person) for all college side students. Please contact the Learning Center in Building 14.
Thank you for all your support and have a great evening.
Dr. Clark

Hello PSRC Early College Family.
Last day to change any schedule is August 25th. Students will begin riding busses to their local high schools on Monday the 23rd, they then, will be transported to the Early College by a different bus. Parents should contact bus coordinators at the local high schools if you have any questions.
If you are picking up your child in the afternoons, please make an effort to park either in the middle parking line or the one closest to the cemetery. This is to prevent cars moving around our vans. Our students must walk that area looking for their vans and many do not pay sufficient attention to moving cars. We have made every effort to prevent the movement of cars around those vans. Moving forward we will engage RCC’s Security Guards.
Our Title 1 Parent Night will be held virtually on August 31st at 6pm. Students will be given log in information by their teachers.
September 6th is a holiday. We will release students at 11:30 on September 15th. Students will be expected to participate in virtual learning activities that afternoon once they arrive home. Students who have college classes in the afternoon on the 15th must find a way home since the vans will depart campus at 11:30.
September 20th will be our first PTA meeting at 6:30. This meeting will be virtual and students will be provided a link by their teachers. We encourage everyone to join our PTA, they do awesome things for the students and staff.
Have a great evening,
Dr. Clark

Hello Early College Family. Thank you all for a great beginning to our 21-22 school year.
A few reminders:
Parents who are picking up and dropping off their children—if you park closer to the third line of parking spaces you will be able to pick up your child and leave much sooner than possible if you are in line with the vans.
The same applies for morning drop off if you arrive after 8:10.
We realize that we need to work on some schedules for our Juniors and above. The process has been explained to them during advisement and we will adhere to that process.
If you are having issues with the vans please call Ms. Renet McQueen at 671-6000 extension 1603.
Remember Mrs. Richardson will be sharing a Google form for college side textbook pickup. Please check your PSRC email as well as your RCC emails.
Our Title 1 Parent Night will be on August 31st at 6:00 p.m. That meeting will be virtual and we will share the links with your student.
Thank you and have a great evening.

Congratulations to all our 2021 Robeson Community College graduates! All students will be virtual on May 17th - May 19th. Students should continue to work on any assigned work from your teachers. In addition all teacher made final exams should be completed during this time. May 20th and 21st Mrs. Stickney and Mrs. Audrey's students will take their exams. Please contact either of them for your scheduled exam time. On May 24th our 10th graders will participate in the Biology exam. If you need transportation for this exam please let your van driver know. We will release all students at 1:30 on the 24th. Advanced Senior Awards night will be on May 18th at 6:00, in the Fred G. Williams Auditorium. Graduation will be May 26th at 10:00 on the lawn behind the library as well. Have a great evening.

Hello to the 11th grade class. The Biology exam was not given at the end of the year last year. So this semester some of you will need to take that exam. The ones that need to take it now are the students who are currently enrolled in BIO 112 on the college side. So if you are an 11th grader and you are not enrolled int BIO 112 you do not need to show up to take the exam on Tuesday May 25th. If you are enrolled in Biology 112 then you must report to school by 8:15 on May 25th to take this Biology exam. If you do not report your exam score will be recorded as a 0 in PowerSchool. If you need to verify this check in Mrs. Sinclair's Canvas for a list of students who have to test.
This is a state requirement.
Dr. Clark

Hello Early College Family. I know we are all looking forward to our Easter break on the high school side but I wanted to remind you all that the college side will observe Easter holiday on Monday and Tuesday. So, if your student has college side classes Wednesday through Friday they will still be expected to attend those classes those days. I have spoken to the van coordinator and the drivers will be polling their riders about the need for transportation those days. It is important that our students attend their college side classes even when the high school is not in session.
As we embark upon the final 9 weeks of school we have some important tests we need to prepare for. Our 10th graders should be planning on participating in the Pre-ACT. Although this test is not required it will help them prepare for the ACT as an 11th grader. Please ensure your 10th grade student has told Mrs. Tammie Paul they intend to take this test. All seniors (our 12th graders) must take the WorkKeys exam. This is the first year that all 12th graders are required to take this test. Both these exams will be administered during the Week of April 19th.
More information will be shared later regarding graduation and other end of the year activities. Thank you for all your support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Clark

Due to potential severe weather conditions, the Public Schools of Robeson County will operate on a remote-learning schedule for students on Thursday, March 18th, 2021. All PSRC Central Office employees and district employees will also operate on a telework schedule.

Hello Early College Family. The end of our 9 weeks is March 10th. We will be mailing report cards on the 19th. Please be on the look out for them. Remember you may access your child's grades via PowerSchool. In addition you may access your child's college side grades via their Moodle account. Have your student log in to show you their performance. Thursday March 11th and Friday March 12th will be teacher workdays but will be virtual learning days for the students. They are expected to work like they do on Wednesdays. Advanced Seniors please visit our website for information on scholarships. The end of our year is nearly upon us. Thank you and have an awesome evening.
Dr. Clark

Hello All,
Returning students will change classes as they would normally. Ninth graders will be in school on days they are assigned until 3:20 when the vans will depart. Tenth graders who attend Mondays and Tuesdays will leave campus on Mondays at 1:30. Tenth graders who attend school on Thursday and Friday will leave campus on Fridays at 1:30. This is because the afternoon college classes they take aren’t taught on Monday and Friday. Juniors, Seniors and Advanced Seniors will be here during the time they have their 1 or 2 high school classes. We have tried to schedule attendance days around the college schedules. If there are any conflicts contact Mrs. Richardson.
Graduation packets were mailed on February 1st. Orders will be taken in the student center on March 2nd and March 3rd from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 4:00 pm to 6 pm. Please bring your completed order form along with the $60.00 dollar deposit fee. The deadline for orders is March 14th.
There are many scholarship’s available visit our website for details. Click on Explore, Information, Scholarship Information.
On campus students may pick up food for 5 days on Tuesday and Friday. Virtual students may visit Lumberton Senior on any day to get their 5 days of food for home.

Hello Sophomores. I have had a call from your Computer Teacher. Many students are behind and are not keeping up with assignments. While it is true that Chromebooks and Macbooks are sometimes difficult in the MS Office environment, your instructor has agreed to open the labs here on campus for you. I have explained to him that we offer transportation for students who need it and that we have hotspots for students who have issues with the Internet. I have asked the instructor to collect names and addresses of students who want to come to the lab and who need hotspots so I can facilitate that for him and for you. Remember that your GPA determines if you are able to complete your Associates Degree or not. Parents have your student log into their Moodle account and show you their grades.
Thank you. Dr. Clark

Hello Early College Family. We are excited that our students will have the opportunity to return to in person instruction beginning March first. Beginning Tuesday, February 16th, our teachers will have the students complete a short survey about their choice to return and regarding their need to ride a van or not. Vans will be picking students up at home and returning them home each day. Please have a conversation with your child about this and have them be prepared to complete the survey next week according to your wishes.
Survey's will be used to determine which students will attend on Monday and Tuesday and which will attend on Thursday and Friday (teachers will do this to limit the numbers in class each day). Wednesdays will be virtual days. If selected for in person on Monday and Tuesday the student would log in virtually on Thursday and Friday for class.
Please remember that Juniors report to school by 8:15 on February 23rd for the ACT.
Have a great evening.
Dr. Clark
