Hello Prospective Students for the 2022-2023 school year.
At this point most of the interviews are complete. Next week, during the break, Dr. Clark will complete the tally process and the 55 students with the highest total points will be sent letters of acceptance. Those students who have not garnered enough points will also get a letter informing them that, unfortunately, they will not be accepted. Dr. Clark should have those letters in the mail by Tuesday April 26th. One hundred and seventy-nine students applied, and one hundred and twenty students were interviewed. Due to limited space our school can only serve 55 students. So please understand that there are going to be many applicants that we simply do not have room for. Thank you for your interest in PSRC Early College at RCC, and understand that the process should be completed soon.
Dr. Clark

Hello Early College Family. The Public Schools of Robeson County’s Board of Education have updated our masking and desk shield policies. Beginning on Monday February 28th students will not be required to wear masks in our buildings. Students will still be required to mask up on busses or on vans. In addition, we will be removing all desk shields from our classrooms (it has always been difficult for children to see the SMART Boards through those shields.)
Should you wish to have your child not wear the mask please complete the Mask Opt-Out form being sent home by our students today. Please find the link below. This opt-out form also includes the option for you to select continued shield usage for your student. We will then set up a desk in each class for students who request the use of a shield.
Please have your student bring the completed forms back to their teacher on Friday February 25th.
Sincerely,
Dr. Clark

Tenth graders, we have spoken with Mrs. Ivey on the college side and she has agreed to alert this office when your classes are cancelled. When they are we have a procedure for you to follow which involves participating in a Study Hall with another teacher. Calling parents to pick you up is not necessary, although you may do so. In addition, at no time should you leave campus with any other student unless this office has verified that you may do so by speaking with a parent.
Every student should sign out at the office when you leave this campus, even those students who drive and have early release prior approvals.

Congratulations Diamonikk September's Student of the Month!

Hello Early College Family.
Join me in our celebration of Hispanic heritage month. This celebration begins on September 15th because it marks Independence Day for Costa Rick, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico’s Independence Day comes a day later on the 16th, and Chile’s falls on September 18th. We join with our Hispanic community in celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Hispanic refers to people who speak Spanish and/or are descended from Spanish-speaking populations. Contrasted by Latino or Latina or Latinx which refers to people who are from or descended from people from Latin America. Did you know that the cowboy hat, rodeos and ranching are all from Spain and Mexico? The state names of Montana, Colorado, and Nevada all come from Spanish words. Hispanic Americans have fought in every war with 1.2 million veterans in the United States identifying as Hispanic or of Latino descent.
On another matter, Jostens’s has changed the date they will be here for Cap, Gown and Ring orders. This new date is September 30th and they will be in the lobby of the A. D. Lewis Auditorium accepting orders for Cap and Gown at 1 o’clock pm and Ring orders begin at 2:00 pm.
Driver’s Ed Class will begin soon for students who have turned 15 on or after April 18, 2007. Fee Waivers are available, see Mrs. Richardson.
Thank you, Dr. Clark
