Report Cards can be picked up Monday---Friday from 8:00am ---- 2:45pm. Report cards is a parent’s way to determine whether their child is working remotely from home. I desperately need parents to see these report cards. There is a huge difference between what we are doing now than what we did last year in terms of remote learning. Parents please do not be misinformed and believe that we are giving out passing grades. Students have to work in an effort to pass their assigned courses.

Parents,
This message is to inform you that students received their Progress Report grades last week. Basically, students were given an online google document form to complete verifying their grades. After completing the form, they were to share that information with you. Grades are in PowerSchool so you need to ask your child about their Progress Report grades. I understand this is different but just like any other year, it’s the student’s responsibility to share Progress Report information with parents.
Good Evening,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the 2020-2021 school year. As Principal of Purnell Swett High, I look forward to serving you in whatever capacity necessary to meet the needs of students and their families. Additionally, I want to thank everyone for coming out and being a part of Open House. I’m satisfied with the turn out and expect great things this school year. This Saturday August 22nd from 8:00---11:00 am, we will be open at school to pass out schedules and chromebooks to any student that may not have been able to attend Open House this week. Please be advised that a parent must accompany any student planning to receive a chromebook.
Thanks and Have a Great Evening……..
Hello,
Purnell Swett High School will host “OPEN HOUSE” beginning Monday August 17, 2020. Monday is for ninth grade, Tuesday tenth grade, Wednesday eleventh grade and Thursday twelfth grade. Open House will begin at 11:00am sharp and end promptly at 6:00pm. Sibling materials across grade levels may be picked up at the same time. We will not allow someone to pick up their cousins, neighbors, or friends schedule or chrome books so please don’t ask. It is important to remember that temperatures will be taken, mask must be worn and social distancing will be enforced. Additionally, parents and students need to understand that schedule changes will be minimal and the only changes made will be based on a need and not a want. The teacher student ratio is high; therefore, making schedule changes difficult. Emails are the only way a student can request a schedule change. So, please come out and pick up you schedules and chromebooks. Parents will be required to sign a release form to pick up a chromebook. Chromebooks are expected to last the entire school year. All damages and repairs will be at the cost of parents.
We look forward to seeing you. Thanks and Have a Great Day
Hello,
Last school year there was a Driver’s Ed class cancelled in March, 2020. The students taking that class now have an opportunity to complete to class online. An email was sent to all students who are now required to complete all assignments and quiz. Once all assignments and quiz are complete, students must pass a test to receive credit. There is a 30-hour seat time requirement meaning you must stay logged on and working for those 30 hours. Teachers will be able to determine these hours based on the amount your log-in time.
If you have any questions email Mr. Manuel Jacobs at manuel.jacobs@robeson.k12.nc.us.
Thanks
