Keeping Kids Safe

We strongly recommend all students participate in this free program. COVID-19 variants are spreading throughout the United States. Research shows routine testing can reduce the spread of COVID-19 by 50%, especially in large settings, such as schools. The minimally invasive PCR testing helps prevent the threat of in-school transmission, while also minimizing the loss of face-to-face learning time.

How it Works and PCR-Pool Testing

A parent or guardian must register any minor under 18 years old. You’ll give a one-time consent and HIPAA authorization to share testing results with our School Nurse ONLY. All testing information is confidential and results will be available in a timely manner.

PCR Pool Testing is a method in which a group of six pre-registered students and/or staff are scanned into a single pool and tested. These small batches of pooled tests allow us to easily test thousands of students and staff daily, while delivering swift, reliable results.

What happens if the pool results are positive?

We will then follow our normal protocol of referral for additional testing. We strongly believe    participation in this testing will allow us to keep our students and staff safe, while also minimizing the loss of face to face instructional time.
