Men’s Health Month
One in five adults face mental health issues yearly. More than six million people annually are facing mental health issues; a large population of those are men who often are not diagnosed or do not seek care.
The following list includes ways that men can positively impact their mental health and focus on self-care:
Visit a website that assists with fostering positive mental health. Review symptoms of mental health issues and access resources by visiting Mental Health America’s website at mhanational.org.
Find help. If there is a mental health issue affecting you, don’t be afraid to ask for assistance. It’s an indication of strength, not weakness!
Talk to someone. Talk with a family member, friend, co-worker, or anyone else you may feel comfortable with about your mental health experiences and inspire others to do the same.
Take care of yourself. Prioritize time to do activities that increase your well-being. Examples include: walking, breathing exercises, practicing mindfulness, getting enough rest, and increasing social connections, etc.

Remember, mental health is a crucial part of every individual’s well-being, regardless of gender. By being aware and concerned about our mental health, we can enhance our well-being overall which can lead to a happier and more fulfilling life.
