Parents, We have been made aware of accusations that Purnell Swett High School is on lockdown. Please be advised that Purnell Swett High School is not on any form of lockdown. We are operating on a regular schedule as usual.

Due to unforseen circumstances Bus 406 has been canceled for tomorrow's morning and afternoon routes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Good Evening, Parents, we now have bus drivers for all of our buses. Bus 385 will begin its route at 6am on Monday, September 9, 2024. Bus 190 will no longer be a second load in the afternoon.

Parents and Students, In order to provide a safe and orderly environment at athletic events, Purnell Swett High School will be implementing a few changes. Effective immediately, anyone attending a sporting event must adhere to the clear bag policy. Only a clear 10x10 bag is allowed. This means that backpacks, diaper bags, and purses are not allowed at any sporting events. No Exceptions!!! Also, any child that is not a student at Purnell Swett High School is required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Students will not be allowed to act as a parent or guardian. Individuals failing to meet this requirement will be denied entrance into the game. Additionally, the cost of games has increased to $8.00.

Good Evening Parents, In the upcoming weeks school personnel will be observing the student parking lot for parking passes. All students that drive to campus MUST purchase a parking pass. Students will not be allowed to drive on campus without a parking pass. Parking passes are on sale now, and students need to bring their drivers license and registration to purchase one.

Godd Evening, Due to unforseen circumstances Bus 359 has been canceled this afternoon. Bus 359 will also be canceled on Friday, September 6, 2024 in the morning and afternoon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Good Afternoon Parents and Students, School safety is of the utmost importance here at Purnell Swett High School. A photo of a student holding a gun while on a school bus Friday was posted on social media. After an investigation it was determined the student did possess a weapon. Purnell Swett High School does not tolerate or condone this type of behavior. This incident did not cause a disruption to the school day and all students were safe. All policies and procedures mandated by the Public Schools of Robeson County will be followed. I want to remind students if they see something or know something then by all means they should say something. Parents please know that students have a role in helping provide a safe and orderly school environment.

Bus 393 has a new driver and the route will begin on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. We ask for your patience with this route, and please have students ready for the bus. This bus will leave campus around 6:20am. Thank you and Happy Labor Day.

Parents and Students, I want to take this opportunity to say our first day was an awesome day. I thank everyone for a job well done. In saying that, there are a couple things that I need help with. Today students were given a hot pink chrome book sheet for parents to fill out and sign. Students will not receive a chrome book without a parent signature. Also, we are working hard to solve our bus issues. I’m asking you to be patient and understanding. If you know anyone that would like to drive a bus, please let us know. Thanks and Have a Great Day

Good Morning, Bus 397 is having some mechanical issues and will be running about 30 minutes behind schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Parents and student We look forward to seeing everyone in the morning, bright eyed and ready to learn. All ninth graders will report to the cafeteria immediately upon arriving on campus. Also, ninth-grade homeroom teachers will meet in the cafeteria. Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth grades will go straight to homeroom. Homeroom are the same as last year. Parents, bus 385 and 393 will not be operating in the morning so please bring your child to school. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. I look forward to seeing you in the morning.
