We are thankful for everything our social worker, Ms. York does for Parkton Elementary School!
A great social worker is someone who dedicates their life to helping individuals, families, and communities overcome challenges and improve their well-being. They show compassion, patience, and strong problem-solving skills while supporting people who may be facing poverty, abuse, illness, or discrimination. A great social worker listens carefully, respects people’s dignity, and works tirelessly to connect them with resources such as education, healthcare, and counseling. Through empathy and commitment, they help create a more just and supportive society where everyone has the opportunity to live a better life.

Tuesday 3/3: Get Cozy with a Book - Wear crazy socks!
Wednesday 3/4: Read Something Wacky - Dress wacky tacky or crazy hair!
Thursday 3/5: Read with a Twin - Find a partner (or more) and dress the same!
Friday 3/6: Book Character Day - Dress up as your favorite book character!
