This weekend the Lumberton FFA Chapter traveled to Franklin County for the 68th Annual State Land Judging Career Development Event.
The purpose of this event is to stimulate interest, encourage proficient development and excellence in land management as taught in agricultural education. Students evaluate soil characteristics including texture, slope, and drainage and then classify the land in a capability class.
The Jr. team placed FIRST in the STATE
Team members: Garrett M. Kaitlyn W. Chayden L. Brittlyn S.
️Kaitlyn was the 2nd highest scoring individual in the STATE
️Brittlyn was the 4th highest scoring individual in the STATE
The Senior team placed FIRST in the STATE
Team members: Nellie J. Allie H. Landon B. Hunter M.
️Nellie was the 2nd highest scoring individual in the STATE
️ Hunter was 3rd highest scoring individual in the STATE
️Allie was 4th highest scoring individual in the STATE
The senior team will be advancing to the National Land Judging Competition in Oklahoma City, OK in May!
