Lumberton FFA placed FIRST and was recognized as the TOP OVERALL CHAPTER in the STATE!
Bell Merlo was elected to serve as the 2022-2023 State FFA Vice President at the Secretary's station!
State FFA Officers are elected officials expected to represent the student membership during the board of director meetings. They are teachers of leadership and teamwork to regional FFA officers and chapter members. They are motivational speakers who will inspire members and non-members to heights they did not think they could achieve. They are communicators and public relations specialists on behalf of the North Carolina FFA Association building positive relationships across the state and across our nation. They are teammates to the other five state FFA officers and to the staff of the North Carolina FFA Association. They are learners, eager to absorb and grow to the fullest extent possible to fulfill their responsibilities. Belle is one of two North Carolina State FFA Officers from the Lumberton FFA Chapter! (last one was in 2004)
Belle led the Lumberton FFA Chapter as President as well as the South Central Region as Vice President this past year. Under her leadership, Lumberton FFA finished FIRST in North Carolina in the National Chapter Award Program, a program that measures a FFA Chapter's ability to carry out the FFA Mission of making a positive difference in the lives of students while serving the local community and school. We are thankful for her leadership this past year and we cannot wait to see the influence she will have on thousands of FFA members across North Carolina!
