LUMBERTON — Zurn Elkay Water Solutions employees recently hosted a “Stuff the Bus” campaign to provide school supplies for Littlefield Middle School students.
Employees at the sink and water delivery product manufacturing company hosted a school supply drive at the location in Lumberton to fill a school bus with as many donated items as possible for students in need. The company then donated items to Littlefield Middle School students on Tuesday.
“We would like to thank Zurn Elkay Water Solutions for their support,” said Littlefield Middle School Principal Kendall Hamilton. “Thank you for your commitment to our community and for making a positive impact on our school. It means the world to our students to receive these supplies and this donation will help us meet the needs of our students.”
Sarah Cox, Lean Coordinator at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, and Judy Allen, a team leader for the Returns Department at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, could be seen delivering items Tuesday morning to the school with smiles and cheerful wishes for the school year ahead.
“Since 2022, Zurn Elkay has made sure that we help the children in our community by donating school supplies and snacks. Seeing the heartwarming smiles on the children is clear, enabling them to focus on what really matters, and that's learning,” said Sarah Cox, Lean Coordinator at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions.
“We want the students to be able to connect with their classmates and their teachers. Zurn Elkay Lumberton, supports Stuff the Bus to make certain that the children have the tools they need to help boost their confidence and not feel left behind. It is a blessing from our employees all the way up to our management to donate supplies. Anyone is welcome to drop off supplies at the bus, during the campaign,” she added.
A similar campaign was held this past school year by the company for Rosenwald Elementary School.
“The Public Schools of Robeson County would like to thank Zurn Elkay Water Solutions employees for their continued support of our students and generous donations to our schools,” said PSRC Superintendent Dr. Freddie Williamson.
