Dear Viking families,

As the 2022-2023 school year comes to an end, we would like to thank all stakeholders for your support. This letter shares information on state testing requirements for all students, including those in virtual learning settings.

As part of federal and state legislation, North Carolina students take required state tests each school year. This includes end-of-grade tests, end-of-course tests, the PreACT, The ACT, ACT WorkKeys, the College, and Career Readiness Alternate Assessment, NCEXTEND1, and the English language proficiency tests for English learners.

The testing requirement includes face-to-face as well as medically exempt virtual students. Students must take all state and local secure assessments (such as district benchmarks, ACT, WorkKeys, PreACT, NAEP, EOG/EOC, etc.) on campus. Again, all students will be required to test on campus this year.

The EOG window will open on May 26th and close on June 9th. The testing plan will be shared on our social media platforms including Facebook, and our school website.

If you have questions or need additional information, please contact the school at 910-735-2108.
