Fairmont High School

My name is Chanda Hughes and I have been employed with the Public Schools of Robeson County for 21 years. I have taught 6-8th grade in math and science, 9th grade math and science and now 12th grade math. I have a bachelor's degree from UNCP in Middle grades math and science, a 9-12 math add on and a Masters in School Administration from Grand Canyon University.  I graduated from FHS in 1987 and have called Fairmont my home since 1976. I am married, have three daughters and a step-son all of whom support me in my educational endeavors. I love teaching seniors and helping them prepare for what comes after high school. Seeing students' reactions when they understand what's being taught makes everything worthwhile in the teaching profession.
