Dear Lumberton Junior High School Students, Parents, and Community,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year. I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve as your principal and honored to work alongside our qualified and dedicated staff, bright students, and supportive parents.
The middle school years are critical times for both students and families. I sincerely hope you will view our learning environment as one that is warm, inviting, and friendly.
I am a 1996 graduate of Marlboro County High School and received a bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University in Physical Education in 2001 and a masters in School Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2014.
In 2016, I attended Wingate University and received both my Educational Specialist Degree and Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership with a concentration in School Superintendence in 2017.
Education is a partnership between the school, students, parents/guardians, and the community. It is the responsibility of our staff to provide the best educational environment possible. We count it a privilege to serve the parents and students of Lumberton Junior High School realizing that, providing an optimum educational setting, will take a cooperative effort on the part of all stakeholders. We encourage parents to be active participants in our school. There are many opportunities to volunteer and be involved in the excellent education that occurs within our building.
Moreover, we welcome and value all feedback as we desire to work together to ensure that the experiences we provide are of high quality.
In summary, communication is a vital component of any successful educational experience. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our school community and prepare each student to be a productive 21st Century Learner and Global Citizen. We look forward to a successful school year and trust that the year will be enjoyable for all.
