2012 READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY
Our students and staff celebrated READ ACROSS AMERICA and Dr. Seuss' birthday on Friday, March 2, 2012. Many special people--parents, grandparents, community leaders, PSRC Central Office personnel, PSRC Board members, the Kwainis Club of Lumberton, Senator Michael Walters, Rep. G.L. Pridgen, and others came to read to our students. Each class had at least one visitor (most had two) reading to them. A visit by "The Cat in the Hat" to classes was a special treat. "The Cat in the Hat" encouraged staff and students to read, read, read! Students enjoyed a breakfast of green eggs and toast prepared by our cafeteria staff. Our staff enjoyed green eggs and ham compliments of Cracker Barrel of Lumberton. Thanks to everyone who made this a very special day for our students! The Cat in the Hat and Senator Walters
